N.Y. RANGERS -½ +154 over N.Y. Islanders

7:08 PM EST. Regulation only. Hello Alexandar Georgiev! It's such a pleasure to see back in the crease to face these Islanders. We've written before about our take on the Rangers and their crowded goaltending situation, but when Queen Henrik gets the night off, the Blue Shirts are dangerous as hell.  Georgiev started both games against the Islanders last week and he posted a 2-0 record while stopping 70 of the 74 shots fired his way. Georgiev has owned the Isles since coming into the league, as he's 4-1 with a 1.44 GAA and .955 SV% in his career against them.

We've been calling out the Islanders has frauds all season and those chickens have come home to roost. Sure, the Isles started the season at 23-8-2, but since then they have lost 10 of their last 15 games, including five of their last six. To expect the Islanders to pull the nose up on this tailspin would not be advisable, as they are just not equipped to be an elite team, while the Rangers are quite the opposite. The Rangers are loaded with stars and scoring up and down their lineup, while the Isles feature a ragtag group that needs every bounce it can get to keep up. If it sounds like we're piling on, it's because we are. Their goaltenders aren’t standing on their heads these days and we promised you that once their goaltenders return to their career norms, the losses would start piling up. Rags were two great prices last week against the NYI and beat them both times. There is nothing indicating that the Isles can now beat them.
