10:05 PM EST. Regulation only. The Blue Notes are in a tremendous spot here. The Blues embarked on a brief two-game trip that started with a 5-2 victory in San Jose on Saturday night. Winners of five straight, including another 5-2 victory over Colorado, the Blue Notes are looking to sweep the trip before going home for the holidays. The Blues aren’t dominating games but they’re tough to beat because their goaltending is great and so is their constant pressure on the puck. The Blue Notes give the opposition very little room to work with.

The bet here is more about fading what has to be an exhausted Kings’ squad. After six straight on the road over 11 days, the Kings are back home for this one. L.A. has also played eight of their last nine games on the road since December 6, which included a trip to Edmonton and Calgary. That’s some extensive travel for a team that has trouble keeping the puck out of its own net. Although the Kings will very likely offer some decent value after the break because they are better than their record, that’s going to have to take a backseat for this game because situationally, this is as tough a spot as any on their schedule this entire season.
