With Brian Elliott out another week and Michal Neuvirth on the injured reserve list, the Flyers do not have a lot of options in net at this time and Pickard is their fourth choice. Being the fourth string goaltender on Philadelphia is akin to being the 6th string QB on the Buffalo Bills. Goaltending decides games and it is for that reason that Philadelphia must be faded when priced in this range. Pickard has a 4.13 GAA and a .858 save percentage and the flyers are 0-5 against top-10 competition and 2-10 against top-16.

 Very quietly, the Rangers have as many points as the Bruins, Sharks Jets and Blue Jackets but they are priced like they have as many points as the Canucks. We have been high on this team since Day 1 of this season and they’re playing like it. New York is 8-3-1 over its last 12 games to moved into a tie for first overall in the Metro. They are playing at such a high level but this market and/or oddsmakers are not giving them their just due. The Rags are 3-3 against top-10 competition and 6-4 against top-16 and they are superior to the Flyers in every way, including balanced scoring, defense, coaching, confidence and goaltending. Yeah, we’ll bite.
