Minnesota +6½ -105 at BALTIMORE

1:00 PM EST. If you’ve ever wondered if recent results reign supreme, do we have a game for you! Enter the Minnesota Vikings, who are fresh off an embarrassing home loss to the Cooper Rush-led Cowboys on Sunday Night Football (SNF). SNF is usually the highest-rated and most-watched game of the week, which means it’s also a popular destination for gamblers to salvage a losing Sunday. Well, last Sunday was no exception, as the injury chasers were out in full force, pounding the Vikings into oblivion. After all, how could the Cowboys possibly win without Dak? As it turns out, pretty easily, as the Vikings played some seriously uninspired football in that 20-16 loss. The appetite for the Purple People Eaters has no doubt been lost, which usually happens when one also loses their hard-earned cash.

We’re not going to defend the Vikings or their failure to capitalize on a gift from the football gods, but we will point out that because that game is so fresh in the minds of many, the Vikings are taking far more heat than their opposition.

Do you remember what happened the last time the Ravens took the field? In the 24-hour NFL news cycle, games played nearly two weeks ago might as well have been played two years ago. Check any power ranking you can find, and let us know where you’ll find the 5-2 Ravens. They’ll be near or at the top of the AFC, ahead of teams like Cincinnati, WHO BEAT THE ABSOLUTE CRAP OUT OF THEM 41-17 in Week 7. That Bengals team, by the way, just lost to the Jets. Try and solve that football math equation!

Baltimore was a 6½-point favorite against the Bengals, and now they are spotting a similar price here against the Vikings. That is very appealing for players such as ourselves that are keen to side with the pooch. Underdogs in that 5-6½-point range, more often than not, turn out to be live as can be. If you’re looking for a little icing on this Vikes cake, note that the Ravens have a Thursday night date with Miami in Week 9. All of that adds up to a strong play on Minnesota, thus, we’ll attempt to cash in.
