L.A. RAMS -6 -107 over Chicago

8:20 PM EST. The Bears’ win over the Lions last week was mostly about the visitors missing Matt Stafford than anything that the Bears offense did. By this point, Mitchell Trubisky is playing for his job and many think Matt Nagy is coaching to keep his. Beating a visiting team that has no starting quarterback still looks good in the standings, but the only road wins of the year were against the Redskins and Broncos over the first three weeks of the season. Trubisky gets one more chance to look good in Week 12 when the Giants visit, but his days as a starter are over as soon as the Bears find a replacement. Incidentally, Chicago did not show up for Colin Kaepernick’s workout party yesterday.

This market is completely turned off by the Rams disgusting outing against the Steelers last week in prime time in a 17-12 loss. The Rams were heavily played last week as a small road favorite against a Steelers’ squad that was being called a fraud in the talk leading up to that game. Pittsburgh gets a signature win after the Rams offense couldn’t move five yards and that one game is so fresh that it’s hard to get out of one’s mind and it’s also hard to come back on the Rams spotting -6 this time. We often discuss zig-zagging. It’s so real and it comes into play here. So many gamblers that played the Rams to beat the Steelers last week were so turned off by the Rams that they’ll fade them this week. Jared Goff was under pressure all game against an aggressive pass rush but he’ll see no such thing here.

The Bears looked horrible in the first half against Detroit last week. They were actually fortunate they weren’t down 10 at the half against Jeff Driskell and company. They’ve looked horrible far more times than not this entire season and we wouldn’t trust them for a second on the road against a quality opponent. See Chicago for exactly what it is -- the NFL's 29th-ranked total offense, 27th-ranked scoring offense and ninth-ranked scoring defense and then ask yourself if six points is enough. Chicago has been outgained by 131, 209, 172 and 162 yards in four of its last five games respectively. That includes being outgained by Detroit last week by 131 and by Oakland by 162. Six points is not nearly enough.
