Kansas City -3 -105 over DENVER

8:20 PM EST. This game takes on a different feel after the last two weeks. The 4-2 Chiefs are still atop the AFC West but lost their last two games - at home no less. Truth be told, the Chiefs should be on a three-game losing streak after being soundly outplayed by Detroit.

The 2-4 Broncos won their last two games so their bandwagon is filling up and that’s the first warning sign against Denver here. The second warning sign is that its two wins came against the Chargers and Titans. The Chargers look as bad as any team not named Miami or Washington and Tennessee just benched its QB. It’s also worth noting that the Broncs were a big fade target last week when they played Tennessee and now all those that bet against Denver last week are not going to be anxious to get caught fading them again.

Another selling point on the Broncs is that their defense allowed just one offensive touchdown over their last two games and in Week 6, they forced the Titans to swap out quarterbacks. To that we say big deal again, as that pair hasn’t been able to move five yards for a month. The toothless offense of the Jags put up 26 on Denver, the Packers put up 27 and the Raiders put up 24. It was a very short time ago that the Broncs were 0-4 and the Chiefs were 4-0 and looked unstoppable. Recency bias has Denver’s stock on the rise and the Chiefs stock on the decline. That’s our cue to move in and lastly, Andy Reid is very familiar with short weeks and preparing for it while Vic Fangio is not. It’s not often one gets the Chiefs at a true bargain but in this case we do and we’re on it. Patrick Mahomes v Joe Flacco is equivalent to Bobby Fisher v Donald Trump in a game of chess.
