7:10 PM EST. Brandon Woodruff returns to the mound for Milwaukee after a lengthy absence, and all signs point to him being ready. His velocity was back to normal during his rehab assignment, and the Brewers have been careful not to rush him. Even if Woodruff isn't quite at peak form, Milwaukee has every reason to be confident. Prior to the injury, he remained one of the most dependable arms in baseball, and he has enjoyed considerable success pitching in Cincinnati throughout his career.

Brady Singer couldn't get Dick Van Dyck out. In fact, if Bert from Mary Poppins stepped into the batter's box with a chimney brush over his shoulder, he'd still likely get a hit off of Singer. .

The Brewers are absolutely mashing right now, averaging nearly seven runs per game in June while carrying a .295 batting average and an .860 OPS. Singer's biggest issue has been left-handed hitters, who have punished him all season to the tune of a .324 batting average, a .948 OPS, and 11 home runs. Unfortunately for Singer, Milwaukee has plenty of bats capable of exploiting that weakness. 

The Brewers are one of the hottest teams in baseball, and this is a classic spot where the run line offers more value than the moneyline. If Milwaukee gets to Singer early, Cincinnati's bullpen may be forced to cover a significant portion of the game. Great American Ball Park is also one of the best places in baseball for crooked numbers. With Milwaukee's offense firing on all cylinders and Woodruff making his return, laying the run and a half at a plus price is the preferred approach.
