1:40 PM EST. Tanner Bibee (RHP - CLE) has been on a roller coaster ride of sorts to start the season. He has allowed 10 runs over 18.2 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts but 10 walks. He does have an 11.5% swing and miss rate to go with a 40% ground ball rate, but the free passes have hindered sustained success. Bibee takes on an A’s offense striking out 26.8% of the time while hitting .206 with a .123 ISO versus RHP to start the season. If Bibee is going to get right, the A’s are the team to help make that happen. Aside from that, this is more of a fade on Oakland’s starter.

Ross Stripling’s (RHP - OAK) season thus far has been an avalanche of line-drives and hard hit balls. Dude has already been tagged for 32 hits in 24 frames with a weak swing and miss rate of under 8%. His line drive rate of 32% is almost equal to his weak ground ball rate of 34%. Regression hit him hard last year and it’s hitting even harder this year. It’s also worth noting that he’s only allowed one jack this year so when those hard hit balls inevitably start landing over the fence, his numbers will get even worse. Two IL stints last season for back strain also remind us that health isn't a skill he owns, either. Stripling is a mess but he’s getting paid 9M this year to lose games so let’s keep fading this stiff.
