Chicago +165 over N.Y. Yankees
8:10 PM EST. Led by its relentless lineup, the Yanks won for the 16th time in 18 games. The Yanks are now 23-8. We were wrong yesterday when we suggested they couldn’t hit three, three run jacks every night. No, they hit four jacks, a three run shot, a solo shot and two with one on base. Final score, New York 15 Chicago 7. The White Sox opened as a -130 favorite but the efficient market hammered the South Side to -150 before the Yanks took the South Side to school. Now what?
Our fade on the Yanks started on May 10 and will last a total of 29 games. It’ll end after a three game set in Minnesota on June 9th at which time we will reassess and decide if we’ll continue or abort. Thus far, we are stuck 6 units fading the Yanks but we have to stick with it. We made a plan and we’re sticking with it, although we have no idea how the White Sox will pull this one out with Vince Velasquez (RHP - CHW) going up against Gerritt Cole (RHP - NYY).
There’s no need to break down the starting pitching matchup, as Cole is an ace while Velasquez is a deuce. If we were choosing games based on the starters there is no way we could have had Aaron Sanchez to beat Tylor Megill or a few others. We are simply sticking with our Yankees fade, as we pegged their hot start and being unsustainable.
Chicago +165 (Risking 2 units - To Win: 3.30)
