Kansas City +169 over Chicago

2:10 PM EST. Michael Kopech (RHP - CHW) and the White Sox are very simply not close to being worthy of this price. Despite the 7-3 victory yesterday, the White Sox are struggling miserably. That game was tied 3-3 with two outs in the seventh inning before the South Side went off. Pretty it was not and now this career reliever is favored like he’s Dylan Cease. Kopech has made three starts covering 14 innings. His skills look good but he has previosly blossomed in a mostly relief role. It remains to be seen if he can harness his control as a starter and also control his gopheritis.

Kopech has appeared in 51 games in his brief career with 44 of those appearances coming in relief. Relievers turned starters is nothing new but relievers that turn into success stories as a starter over an extended period of time are rare. The White Sox are not playing well enough to warrant this price and Kopech cannot be trusted at this price either.

Brad Keller (RHP - KC) has an elite 53% groundball rate. Unlike Kopech, he’s a career starter with some success and some failures but he seems to have a bit more swag this year. He’s coming at hitters aggressively. He’s throwing strikes and he’s striking out batters while inducing plenty of grounders. His 2.55 ERA is backed by a strong xERA of 3.76. Now in his fifth year at the age of 26, Keller is showing some clear signs that he's going to take a big step forward in 2022. This price is out of whack and we’re on it.
