1:10 PM EST. The Orioles started the year with an 11-6 record on the road and since then they have remarkably failed to win a single road game. That’s actually incredible for a team that ranks 1st offensive in the majors against left-handed pitching. Some books have this game off the board (at the time of this writing) because Tampa’s starter is not etched in stone. We’re seeing Josh Fleming (LHP - TB) listed some places and Michael Wacha (RHP - LHP) listed at others. It looks like it’s going to be Wacha but does it really matter? Both Wacha and Fleming are beatable while the Orioles are better than their record suggests and certainly better than their road record suggests.

Bruce Zimmerman (LHP - BAL) faces a Tampa Bay nine that has a below-average OPS versus southpaws. In his last five games started, Zimmermann has a 3.54 xERA with 28 K’s in 24 frames while walking just seven. His swinging strike rate continues to ascend and he throws five different pitchers that he can locate well. Win, lose or draw, these prices on Tampa’s very ordinary offense and starters are outrageous so hopefully it’ll start paying off.
