6:40 PM EST. Matt Harvey has a 5.02 ERA after 14 innings covering three starts but an unlucky 65% strand rate is the cause for his inflated ERA. Harvey has struck out 12 batters and walked just three. He comes in with a very respectable 4.33 xERA to go along with his 50% groundball rate.

Meanwhile Nick Neidert (RHP - MIA) has been brutal in his first two MLB starts, as he has walked nine across nine innings but he escaped by only allowing a combined four earned runs leading to an ERA of 4.00. However, Neidert’s xERA is 7.72 and while it’s a small sample size, dude is having big trouble throwing strikes and there are only three starters with two or more starts with a worse xERA than this guy. Neidert has a WHIP of 1.89 with an 81% strand rate. That makes Baltimore worthy of a play.
