8:40 PM EST. Jonathan Gray (RHP - COL) has never enjoyed pitching at home in his career and this year has been no different. In his four home starts he is 1-2 with a 6.55 ERA. One of those home starts did come against the Giants back on August 5 and he was smoked. Gray has seen a significant increase in his fly-ball rate, as it has gone from 26% last season to 37% this season. A 58% strand rate has certainly not helped his cause, but that strand rate is a symptom of this venue. Fact is, Gray’s skills are terrible with a 5.92 xERA with just 21 K’s in 36 frames. Dude chases ghosts (for real) and now he's favored because why?

Kevin Gausman (RHP -  SF) owns a 3.38 xERA and 16.9% swing and miss rate over his six starts this year. . Dude has been absolutely dynamic with 11.8 K’s/9 and 0.6 BB’s/9 but his misleading 4.54 ERA assures us we get him at an incredible price here.  In addition, Gausman owns the best trifecta of command building blocks in the game: 16.9% swing and miss rate, 70% first-pitch strike rate and 29% ball%. Wrong side favored.
