7:10 PM EST. If current form means anything at all, the D-Backs have a massive edge on the hill here, at least to begin the game. It would appear to us that Zack Wheeler (RHP - NYM) is a tired horse that is gasping for air down the stretch. Four of Wheeler’s last five starts have resulted in disasters. Over those five starts, he is just 1-1 with a 5.00 ERA and 14/12 K/BB in 27 IP. Both the walks and lack of strikeouts are huge red flags that strongly suggest fatigue. Over his last seven starts, Wheeler has a 5.81 xERA to go along with a mere 5.5 K’s/9. If that’s not enough, the Mets are struggling at home with just two wins in their last 10 at Citi.  

Zac Gallen (RHP - ARI) has enjoyed being traded to the Diamondbacks, as in six starts since joining them, he is 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. He is holding right-handed batters to a .210 BA and .594 OPS. He In his four starts at Chase Field, he is 2-0 with a 1.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 28 K in 23 innings and Chase Field is a far more difficult venue to pitch in than Citi Field. Gallen is getting better with each passing start and is worth getting behind here in a game the Snakes have a better chance of winning than the host does.
