7:10 PM EST. Eduardo Rodriguez (LHP – BOS) is damn good. He’s more trustworthy than Chris Sale right now or any other Boston starter and there’s a very good chance that he dominates the White Sox here. Rodriguez has been electric during his home starts so far in 2019 with 11 K’s/9, 2.3 BB’s/9, 45% grounders and a 3.29 xERA. A 34% hit rate has given him a 4+ ERA at home in spite of those strong skills. Dude can win here for sure. However, if we’re playing value, don’t we have to take Lucas Giolito (RHP - CHW) and the South Side here?

The Red Sox just lost two of three to Toronto and were actually fortunate they didn’t get swept after rallying from a 5-0 deficit in the first game of that three-game set. Laboring and under pressure to step it up, the Red Sox might be gripping their bats and pressing a little bit more today. Lucas Giolito used to be a pitcher with some big holes in his toolbox against left-handed batters. He has put those struggles behind him. Both his stats (2.74 ERA, 1.02 WHIP) and skills (3.24 xERA) against lefties have been fantastic this season. He also has been dominant against righties with a 2.02 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 3.01 xERA. Giolito has a sick BB/K split of 29/104 in 85 innings and gives the South Side a great chance to win every time he takes the mound. This year he's a Cy Young threat but he's priced like it's last year. That cannot be.
