8:10 PM EST. Before playing this game, the White Sox and Royals will complete their suspended game from yesterday after the two teams waited out a four-hour rain delay before it was called. Therefore, this game will be listed as Game 2 on the menu.

Lucas Giolito (RHP - CHW) is coming off a spectacular four-hit shutout against the Astros. He needed only 107 pitches in what was a one-walk, nine-strikeout performance. Giolito owns a 3.60 xERA over five May starts and is in as good a form as any pitcher in baseball right now. Current K.C. bats own a whiff-heavy .535 OPS against the 24-year-old Chicago hurler. The Royals have scuffled of late, posting a mere .677 during a weather-warming-up numbers spike across MLB the last two weeks. The Royals made Ivan Nova, who is among the worst starters in the game, look like Sandy Koufax yesterday.

Only seven AL starters with at least 140 innings had a better ERA than Brad Keller (RHP - KC) last season—a list that includes names like Verlander, Sale, Kluber and Snell. How did the former Rule 5 pick, who was never considered a top prospect, find himself in such elite company? It was all smoke and mirrors and it’s going to get worse because he’s no longer a stranger to MLB hitters. Keller frequently has trouble finding the strike zone and that’s an understatement, as he has walked 41 batters in 65 frames. Over that same stretch, Keller has struck out a mere 45 batters with a supported and weak 7% swing & miss rate. Brad keller’s 6.10 xERA over his last five games is the worst mark among all qualified starters. This is actually a case of one of the best starters v one of the worst in a hitters paradise. Yeah, we’ll bite.
