8:10 PM EST. Wade Miley (LHP - HOU) has nice-looking results thus far with a 3.20 ERA, but a 4.57 xERA and five true non-quality starts in his seven starts overall tell a different story. He's producing a career-low 5.3 K’s/9 and giving up too many hits. The Rangers have been above average on the road, with an OPS just under .800, but they have been below average against LHP, with an OPS near .700. Miley brings his new cutter-heavy approach that gives him a weapon vR and so we’ll bank on that but this has nothing to do with getting behind Miley.

Mike Minor (LHP - HOU) has thrown six strong outings in a row and he'll try to keep the magic going against the Astros in Minute Maid Park. Minor pitched another strong game vs the Astros in Texas on April 3, allowing 0 ER in 7 innings. On the flip side, the Astros have the AL's best home OPS and are averaging 5.4 rpg in Minute Maid. Last season, Minor struggled in two starts there, giving up 7 ER in 11 innings but more than that is Minor is not good enough to keep dominating. His stuff is fringe but a .231 BABIP and 85.1% strand rate has kept his ERA at 2.40 through seven starts. Regression and/or a couple of blowups are forthcoming for Minor and we’ll put that to the test here.
