7:05 PM EST. The Blue Jays are a complete mess right now and thus, our fade on them will continue. From Kendrys Morales getting paid 11 mill to DH and batting .140 while batting eighth to Roberto Osuna being suspended to the overworked bullpen to the losses piling up, Toronto would be better served being on the road. Baseball is a highly mental game and there are too many distractions right now to reasonably expect the Jays to compete against the one of the best team and pitcher in the game today.

As if Chris Sale (LHP) wasn't already dominant enough, 2017 represented the best season of his career, with 308 strikeouts and new highs in all of his skills. Sale posted career bests in strikeouts, command and xERA, and among MLB pitchers with at least 100 IP, he ranked first in K’s and xERA and third in command. He also had only one disaster the entire season. It's not breaking news to say that Sale is one of the best pitchers in baseball and nothing has changed this year except that he’s better with a BB/K split of 11/63 in 49 innings to go along with an xERA of 2.21. At age 29, he shows no signs of slowing down and is the premier pitcher on the planet right now. If you make one bet today, this should be it.

Does it matter who is pitching for the Blue Jays? We think not but for the record, Aaron Sanchez has a BB/K split of 22/28 in 41 frames for one of the worst ratios among starters.Sanchez has decent raw stuff but it has not translated into anything over a sustained amount of time and now his swinging strike rate is way down to 8%. Remember, a rash of blister issues tanked his season last year and perhaps we’re seeing the remnants of that this season. Regardless, Boston should score some runs while the Jays will be hard pressed to score anything.
