You see, we bet against the Gators last week against Vanderbilt taking back a lofty 27 points but never stood a chance. The final score was 56-0. Targeting teams who burst the bubble has proven to be a commodity in our handicapping approach. When Florida’s bubble burst against Georgia, we faded them, just like we faded Notre Dame after its bubble burst in that ugly loss to Michigan. Notre Dame was a 17½-point favorite over Virginia Tech and nearly lost with the final score being 21-20. 

As it turns out, Vandy was not worthy of being on the same field as the Gators. We were aware of how incompetent the Commodores were but they just happened to be Florida’s opponent last week. Bubble burst teams pay a price so in the spirit of “sticking with it” the Gatorfade will continue here.

Beware when teams who -- after a high-stakes loss -- are constantly asked whether there's anything left to play for, then respond with a big home win. The most recent result often seems to have answered the questions, but the rebound is not always permanent. The same motivational issues we pinpointed after the loss are still there after the following week's win. That's Florida's challenge. Missouri quarterback Kelly Bryant returns and this now is a prime rally spot for a Mizzou team whose inexperienced offensive staff has failed it this season. They get it all back here and in turn lay waste to a team that didn’t break a sweat last week but that is soooooo ripe to get beat. Mizzou outright is the call.
