9:00 PM EST. The Bears of Baylor are the #1 team in the nation and they are riding a program-record 18 straight wins after beating the old mark of 17 in a 68-52 drubbing of TCU on Saturday. When you are the top team in college hoops, you are going to get most school's best shot every night, which is a fact that Bears coach Scott Drew knows, "Many people don't have a chance to be No. 1, so you're going to get their best game and no motivation is needed, and it's hard for your team each and every night to have that commitment level. We've been blessed to have that so far." While the Bears are winning, the longer the season goes, the harder it's going to be to keep up that pace, especially against Big 12 competition that is desperate to get a signature win off their backs. There is no question that a premium to back Baylor is in place here and that’s our cue to move in. 

Kansas State is not the same team it was last year, as the Wildcats are just 9-12 and 2-6 in conference play after sharing the top spot in the Big 12 with Texas Tech in 2018-19. In defense of the Wildcats, they have played one of the toughest schedules in America (18th), according to KenPom, which ranks 19 spots higher than Baylor. If only non-conference scheduling is considered, K-State’s difficulty ranks 53 spots higher than Baylor (105 to 158). While strength of schedule isn't everything, we do like that this year's Wildcats have been through the wringer and are not likely to be intimidated by this invader. In fact, they should relish in this opportunity to knock a conference foe down a peg and figure to be live as hell with the top team in America coming to Manhattan for a nationally televised game on ESPN. 

It’s a very small card tonight in college basketball and oddsmakers are very aware that this one will draw most of the attention. It’s inflated points to be sure.
