7:00 PM EST. Records across college hoops can be so deceiving, as these programs are often in control of how tough their non-conference schedule can be. For the Pride of Hofstra, a 13-3 start to the season (including 10 straight victories headed into tonight) is going to turn some heads, but when you look at their body of work, it doesn't take long to realize, they've been chewing the fat all season. The Pride's strength of schedule ranks 339th of the 353 teams playing Division I hoops this season. A big reason for Hofstra's success this season, aside from weak opposition, has been its ability to limit turnovers (27th), but that is a luck based statistic that will likely see a correction before the end of the season. The Pride are coming off a 75-72 win over Northeastern on the back of a 42 point night from senior guard Justin Wright-Foreman that included a game-winning shot at the buzzer. The Pride trailed by nine with five minutes to go in that game. Hofstra was a 4½-point home favorite against the Huskies and now they are spotting a similar price on the road in one of the toughest places to play in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Kaplan Arena has not been kind to its guests over the years and 2018-19 has been no different as William & Mary are 5-2 on its home floor this season. At 7-9, it may appear as though the Tribe is behind schedule, but they have played a much tougher non-conference schedule than their opposition tonight. The Tribe has not been afraid the travel this season, as Bill and his sister have taken roadies to Notre Dame, Marshall, Old Dominion and Virginia, which has them playing the 66th toughest non-conference schedule in America. William & Mary actually had a half time lead in South Bend. Although they were beaten soundly by Virginia, 72-40, the Tribe got a taste of what it takes to be the number one school in the nation and at least they had the stones to take on the challenge. Those lumps can only help, as they focus on Colonial play. There is nothing the Pride or anybody else can throw at W&M that it hasn't seen already. This is just the second time this season the Tribe has been a pooch on their home court. They responded with an outright win over St. Joseph's that night. A similar result is not out of the question here.
