However, B.C. is at home and we’re going to trust that they’ll be playing for their home fans as well as some dignity but that’s all bullshit fodder.

The reason that the Lions are in such a favorable spot here is because Edmonton will play their third football game in seven days. That shouldn't even be allowed but Edmonton had a game cancelled earlier this year, which they were forced to make up with a game against Toronto, in Toronto, no less, this past Tuesday. Not only is playing three football games in a week exhausting to put it mildly, but the Elks also had to travel to Saskatchewan on November 13th, then had to travel to play in Toronto on November 16th and then travel again to British Columbia for this game on the 19th. 

Edmonton beat Toronto on Tuesday in a game the Argos didn’t give a rat’s ass about. Toronto’s playoff seed was established and they rested everyone. Edmonton looked tired and worn out for that game in an ugly 13-7 victory. The Lions will not be so accommodating, as they look to take their frustrations of an entire season out on someone and could not have handpicked a more favorable situation. If B.C. was -14, we’d still spot it because it’s not even fair to ask Edmonton to try and perform at a professional level for the third time in less than seven days.
