This is a very good team that is finally paying some attention to defense under Ken Hitchcock and they’re a threat to make a deep run in the playoffs too. The Stars return home from a four-game trip and they have the Maple Leafs in town on Thursday to close out the schedule before the four-day All-Star break. Certainly the Stars could get caught off guard here but more importantly is that the Panthers are too dangerous to be taking back prices like this.

Florida is a team that few watch and even less are aware of just how good they are. The Panthers have just been extremely unlucky but they have shown us on many occasions that they’re capable of skating with and beating any team in this league. The Panthers are one of the best big priced dogs to constantly get behind, as they have one of the NHL’s top lines, they have a solid core of puck moving defensemen and James Reimer has been more than adequate since being forced into the #1 spot after Roberto Luongo was injured. This is a live pup that should’ve beaten Nashville on Saturday and is worth a play here too.
