OT included. The only downfall to playing the Ducks here is the possibility of a letdown after a win in Los Angeles last night. However, the Coyotes played a highly intense OT thriller last night too against the Blackhawks so they could suffer a similar fate. If the Ducks bring it, and we trust they will, they should win this one going away.

Arizona is leaking badly. They have allowed five goals or more against in three straight games and have allowed 35 shots on net or more in four straight. Rookie goaltender, Louis Domingue was on fire when he first came up but now there is film out on him, NHL snipers have found weaknesses. Domingue played last night so there is a good chance he’ll sit this one out in favor of Anders Lindback. Frankly, it does not matter which goaltender starts because Lindback is pure garbage and Domingue is reeling.

Anaheim is red-hot with five straight wins in which they have scored 20 goals. After being the lowest scoring team per game for the first 3½ months of the season (a case of nothing but bad luck), Anaheim has scored 30 goals in the last eight games (3.75 per game). The Ducks have yielded a franchise-low 113 goals through 49 games, the third fewest among NHL teams and fewest in the Western Conference this season. The Ducks also lead the NHL in penalty killing at  89.4%. The kicker here is that these two have met three times this year and the Coyotes are 3-0 in those games. That suggests to us that the Ducks are not about to let down or take this foe lightly. There is a big difference in mindset between winning and losing. The Ducks mindset is much different now that they're scoring and winning. In other words, they cannot wait to get back on the ice. Hockey is fun once again. The vastly superior Ducks have a score to settle with this invader. They also have a huge advantage in goal. The Ducks top three lines are dominating and their fourth line of Ryan Garbutt, Nate Thompson and Mike Santorelli are causing nothing but havoc when they’re out there as well. Arizona is up against it here and we highly doubt that they’ll make it four straight wins in four tries against such a superior rival. Ducks are a freight train that is paying off right now and we’re not about to mess with that.
