Juuse Saros has lost three straight, Filip Forsberg has vanished, and Steven Stamkos is searching for “mojo” like it’s 1999 and Austin Powers just hit theaters. This team isn’t just losing—it’s getting stifled.

The Sens, on the other hand, are surging. Winners of four straight, they’ve outscored opponents 16-6 over that stretch and are playing with the urgency of a team that knows its playoff window is open right now. They dominated the Wild on Saturday, scoring three power-play goals and adding yet another shorty—because why not? Jake Sanderson has eight points in his last four games, Tim Stützle is on a heater, and Brady Tkachuk is doing Brady Tkachuk things.

Ottawa's goaltending situation is a cherry on top. Leevi Meriläinen is coming off his third shutout in 11 starts, Anton Forsberg has been rock solid on the road, and Linus Ullmark might even return. Compare that to Nashville, where Saros is leaking goals and backup Justus Annunen is about as reliable as a Nashville bachelorette party at 3 AM.
