On the worst of nights, a price like this on the Flames is almost an autoplay, but when you consider the Maple Leafs’ woes in goal, this is an easy one to pull the trigger on. Sure, we know Calgary played last night in Montreal and lost, and the Leafs have won six of seven, but we don’t really give a fuck about results.

The Flames have lost two straight, but they were much the better team in both games. Against the Canadiens, the Flames gave up two power play goals—one tied the game—the other was the winner. Add an empty netter, and you’ve got a 4-2 final. Few teams in this league can go 3-for-5 on the penalty kill and walk away a winner.

Calgary’s special teams woes will be contrasted with the success of Toronto’s power play, but as we said before, success in that department in the NHL is luck-based. Everyone does the same shit. Sometimes the bounces go your way, and sometimes they don’t. Toronto is good but so is Calgary. In fact, Calgary is among the league leaders in everything except wins and that’s because of running into hot goalies or getting some not so hot goaltending of their own. The Flames going back-to-back or three in four don’t bother us either because the price on Calgary is very simply too good to pass up on.

Side note is that Calgary is +170 on the ML and -½ +200 on the regulation line at BET365. In no way should you bet regulation only with just 30 cents more than the game line. Only if you get +240 or more should you make the regulation bet.
