7:08 PM EST. Regulation only. There are a couple of teams that are still undefeated but one would be hard-pressed to find a team with as much swag as the Flames right now. After losing its first two games of the year tio the Ducks and Oilers, Calgary has reeled off six in a row. Incidentally, on opening night, Calgary lost 5-2 to Edmonton but outshot them 43-27. Against Anaheim, Calgary dominated that game too and lost. This is a team that is an underdog daily yet they deserve to be 6-0 and we see no reason to back off them here. 

If you read the Pittsburgh Post Gazette today, you’ll read only about the possible return of Sidney Crosby. There’s no mention of or updates on the status of Evegeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Bryan Rust or Jeff Carter. We suspect that Crosby’s status or return will be front and center on all updates today regarding the Penguins. Although we still don’t know whether Crosby will return tonight, we’re going to hope he does because if he does, this price is surely going to rise. One can get this price on Calgary all day long so it’s probably best to wait and if Crosby is confirmed, the price will rise. 

The Penguins are truly playing some inspired hockey this year. What they have done minus several key players is not only impressive but it’s deserved, thus this wager is not a fade on the Penguins. This wager is all about sticking with the Flames during this hot run because they are extremely worthy of getting behind at a price like this.
