N.Y. Rangers -½ +188 over PITTSBURGH

The Rangers might be the unluckiest team in the NHL thus far after being the better team in every game they have played except their season opener and all they have to show for it is one victory. The Rags had a 3-1 lead going but the Penguins would score two unanswered to send it to OT and beat the Rangers in the extra frame.

The Rangers held a significant edge in many categories, including xGF%, which means they were creating the majority of the scoring chances. Tristan Jarry came up with the game of his career somehow and ended up with a better SV% than Igor Shesterkin. Once again, goaltending was the difference but the Rangers deserved a better fat. New York is playing great hockey and the wins will follow at some point while the Penguins continue to struggle miserably in their own end.
