 Vegas -½ +230 over BOSTON

7:08 PM EST. Regulation only. The Bruins are tied for the league lead with 68 points, but that does not mean they are unbeatable. The B's dropped a 4-3 decision to the Penguins on Sunday and it was the first time since 2011 that they blew a three-goal lead to lose a game. It was also the fifth loss the Bruins have racked up this season after posting a multiple-goal lead. Boston has now lost three of its last four with defeats coming to Columbus (3-0) and Philadelphia (6-5, SO) in addition to the Pens. Boston was outshot badly by Pittsburgh (38-to-22) on Sunday afternoon, which might suggest it is running on fumes headed into the All-Star break.

The Golden Knights struggles have been highlighted of late, as the team pulled the trigger and fired head coach Gerald Gallant. This is a "what have you done for me lately league", but when guys like Paul Maurice continue to cash cheques while consistently underperforming, one has to wonder why Gallant wasn't given a little more rope after going to the Stanley Cup Finals with an expansion team just two summers ago. Regardless, the wakeup call was sent to the Knights' locker room, although the wins have not begun to pour in. That leaves Vegas undervalued, as this is still a real quality outfit despite just one win in its last six games. There was some chatter that goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury would serve his one-game suspension for skipping out on All-Star weekend tonight, but new coach Peter DeBoer will delay that inevitability to a January 31st clash with Carolina. The extremely talented Golden Knights figure to be quite lively in this spot with the opportunity to go into the All-Star break on a high note.
