When Quick is pencilled in, the Kings are instafade material but there’s more good as well. You see, L.A.’s game in Calgary last night went into an OT and while the win was inspiring, it was more a case of the Flames not showing up for the first 30 minutes. With roughly seven minutes remaining in the second, Calgary was being outshot 27-7. The third period saw the Kings chasing the Flames around for 20 minutes so that takes a toll too.

The other good news is that the talented Canucks are winless after two games, thus, one can expect them to be locked in for this winnable game. The Canucks have outshot both opponents this year and also won the time of possession battle over both as well but we get them at a somewhat reduced rate here because they’re winless.
