7:35 PM EST. OT included. We’re not going to go into a lot of detail here because the Bolts need no introductions. They are the favorite to win the Cup (again) and lead the league in total points by a landslide. They score goals and they have great goaltending but unbeatable they are not. In fact, it may surprise you to learn that over the past six weeks (and even beyond that), the Lightning rank 18th in Scoring Chances Against. In that regard, they sit between Anaheim in 17th and Detroit in 19th. In Corsi For % during five-on-five play over the same period, the Bolts rank 13th between just ahead of Buffalo and Vancouver respectively. Offensively, they’re not creating as much as one might assume, as they rank 25th in Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes over that same time span.

When the Winnipeg Jets are being offered at this price, pencil us in no matter where they’re playing. Winnipeg’s acquisition of Kevin Hayes at the deadline from the Rangers may have been the best pickup of them all.  With Hayes, the Jets received a big centerman in his prime at 26 years of age, who has the versatility to play on any special teams unit and who can also play on the wing. Hayes is having a career year (68-point pace) and the Jets don’t even need him to score, as they have plenty of snipers already. Furthermore, Connor Hellebuyck is catching fire again. Hellebuyck has been brilliant in Winnipeg’s past three games and if he stays hot, the Jets have a great chance at a win here.
