1:00 PM EST. This line is very simply out of whack. The last time the Sabres were priced high at home, they got whacked by the Blackhawks 7-3 because Carter Hutton couldn’t get out of his own way. Hutton was yanked that day and hasn’t played since, which leaves Linus Ullmark as the #1 for now until he inevitably craps the bed. Bo confirmation on any goaltender yet for the Sabres but we don’t care. Both Sabres goaltenders carry risk. Don’t get us wrong, as the Sabres are a decent team and they’re playing well but they are so much more appealing as an underdog as opposed to spotting a price in any range, let along this one.

The perception in the market is that the Red Wings are among the worst teams in the league but nothing could be further from the truth. We mentioned last game that Jeff Blashill stated that the Red Wings have been in every game this year but two. Blashill wouldn’t be wrong. In fact, the Red Wings have lost eight games this year when they have had a third period lead, which is tops in the NHL. The Red Wings can skate with any team in the league, which includes the Bolts and Maple Leafs. Since January 1, Detroit ranks fifth in Corsi For % during five-on-five play. Detroit is a bounce away in every game (but two) from being a legit playoff team and this year’s “Las Vegas”. Don’t sleep on them down the stretch and peg them as being one the liveliest dogs the rest of the season. We’re absolutely sticking with it here.
