The Islanders will still lose more games than they win this year but this is a winnable game to be sure, as the Flyers are not in a good place right now.

Philadelphia is dangerous but weak goaltending affects everything a team is doing or trying to do. Guys are afraid to make a mistake for fear it’ll end up in the back of their net. That is the situation the Flyers find themselves in every night.

Goaltender Michal Neuvirth, missing from the team since tweaking a "lower-body injury'' on Sept. 21, will start a regular-season game for the first time in almost seven months when he faces the Islanders on here. Will the rule changes in goaltending equipment in place, Neuvirth will now face NHLers for the first time wearing smaller equipment. The Flyers are desperate to try anything and we’re glad to fade them at this price while they try out this experiment.
