7:05 PM EST. The Bruins are 5-2-2 to start the season and the market has taken notice, as their top line is making waves with Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak accounting for 19 of the B's 31 goals. That trio is also a plus-19 that has combined for 44 points so far in 2018-19. If you've got them in your hockey pool, you're probably feeling pretty good right about now. However, the problem with relying on a single scoring unit on the ice in real life is that when it doesn't produce, it's hard to win, as the Bruins found out on a brutal string through Western Canada that saw them take just one W home. That Boston picked up extra time points in losses to Vancouver and Edmonton might be a victory in the standings, but scoring just five goals in three games is not positive. Boston was able to salvage a 4-1 victory in Ottawa on the last night of that roadie, but that game was a lot closer than the final score would have you believe. The B's were outshot, but Tuukka Rask made the stops, while Craig Anderson did not. Boston has been on a hell of a ride after getting a taste of the rotten travel that takes place out west and it would not be a huge shock if it were flat here in their first game back on home ice.

The Flyers are a poor favorite because they have no goaltending, but when taking back a price, they are certainly worth a look. The return of Nolan Patrick has been a boost, as he has scored in back-to-back games while centering the team's second line. Philadelphia has also been playing without top-line winger Travis Konecny, who is expected to join Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier tonight. The Flyers were arguably the better team in a 4-1 loss to the tough as nails Avalanche and they even outshot Colorado, but Semyon Varlamov outdueled Brian Elliott. We understand that Philly’s goaltending is always a concern but they are loaded with talent up front and at prices like this in a situation such as this, we are willing to take our chances.

Therefore:

OT included: Philadelphia +150 for 1 unit.

Regulation only: Philadelphia -½ +225 for 1 unit.
