Just contain their top line and stay out of the box and the Capitals will need a plethora of luck to emerge victorious. The Penguins were a bit sloppy defensively last game but they stayed out of the box and ended up winning without Evgeni Malkin, which is equivalent to the Capitals playing without Evgeny Kuznetsov. We cannot stress enough what a difference Geno makes. The idiots that excluded him from the “Top 100” of all time should be embarrassed because he might be a one of the Top-25 of all time.

In any case, a healthy Penguins lineup with Kris Letang playing at an elite level again cannot be a dog on their worst day to this overrated and overvalued Capitals squad. The Caps were an analytics mess during the regular season and the only reason they beat Columbus was because the Jackets players could not keep their sticks on the ice. Penalty after penalty after penalty and it was over in six games but Pittsburgh showed how to beat this team again last game and trust us when we suggest that Pittsburgh was not that strong in Game 1. The Penguins will be better here in Game 2 and we’re not going to relent. Anytime we can take Pittsburgh against Washington without having to spot a price is a bet we’re going to make 100% of the time. Washington has one good line, one slightly above average line and two weak lines with one quality blue-liner while the Penguins are loaded and might even have a better team than they did the past two years.
