The Avs refused to die after a big comeback in Game 5 to force a return to the Mile High City. The Pepsi Center hasn't rocked like this in quite some time, but the locals have a great reason to get fired up because the Avs are not being outclassed in this series. The final scores of Games 1, 2 and 4 are so deceiving, as the Avs were arguably the better team in those games. The goods under the hood don't lie and Colorado has dominated the high danger scoring chances in the last three games and its Corsi For% has risen every time out. Colorado is down to its third-string goaltender, but Andrew Hammond has been known to steal a game or two, which has earned him the "Hamburglar" moniker. The Avs are playing with house money and keep getting better and better, while their opposition continues to get by on name brand market appeal.

The Predators came out of nowhere last season to upset the favored Blackhawks in Round 1 and rode that wave of momentum all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. The shoe is on the other foot this time around, as the Preds are now playing the role of overpriced Western Conference contender. The Preds are not getting the goals they need from their superstar players, as Austin Watson leads the team in playoff scoring with six points. Nashville's second line of Craig Smith, Kevin Fiala and Kyle Turris has been non-existent. The Preds have been sloppy and undisciplined after taking 20 penalties so far in this series. The Avs have made them pay just twice, but a correction could be coming to that luck-based statistic. If the Preds don't stay out of the box today, it could be a long flight home in preparation for a Game 7 but at the end of the day, it’s all still about value and Colorado getting this inflated price in its own barn after being the better team for the majority of this series is true value.
