7:05 PM EST. OT included. The Senators are playing out the stretch in what has been one of the most disappointing seasons they've ever had on and off the ice. Erik Karlsson did not make the trip for this game and his absence looms large with trade rumors swirling ahead of his impending free agency in the summer of 2019. Ottawa was awful in a 4-0 loss in Pittsburgh last night which was its ninth defeat in 11 games. It doesn't get any easier today against what should be a supremely motivated home side. Ottawa just wants to get this season over with and check the hell out until next year and figures to bring no resistance here.

The Bruins, on the other hand, are rolling with points in nine straight games, as they fight for the top spot in the Atlantic Division. Boston will still need some help from the Hurricanes, as Tampa still has a two-point lead, but the B's have a game in-hand. The Lightning can clinch tonight, but puck drop in that game is also 7:05 EST so there won't be time for scoreboard watching. The Bruins should be very live for this game and if they are, it could get ugly. With a total of six goals posted on this contest, we're betting it is the B's that will be lighting the lamp against weak goaltending and against a team playing its third game in four days and that doesn’t give a f**k. We are rarely in favor of spotting goals and vigor but it’s warranted here.
