However, before that run, Boston was handed a 3-0 loss in Florida. That is the only prior meeting between these two teams this season, but with three games over the next nine to end the year, they'll be getting very familiar with one another. The Bruins are in a tight race for the Atlantic Division title and are coming off a huge 4-2 over Tampa, which just happens to be the team they are chasing. Boston also has a pair of high profile games on deck with the Flyers tomorrow on national television, and it then goes back to Tampa on Tuesday night for its final game with the Lightning before the end of the season. Boston has played a ton of hockey lately with eight of its last 10 games on the road. This short two-game home stand comes between a swing that saw them travel to St. Louis, Dallas, Minnesota and Winnipeg with Philly, Tampa and Sunrise on deck next week. This is a tired team.

The Panthers were once one of the hottest teams in the league but have been cooled in the market after another loss to the Senators, which was their second to Ottawa in the last nine days. While the market might not be able to ignore a defeat to the hands of lowly Ottawa, a closer look shows the Panthers are still playing some good hockey with points in five of their last seven. We can also forgive a 4-3 loss to the hands of a very hot Maple Leafs’ side in a game the Panthers went shot-for-shot with one of the league's best teams. This is a fickle market, as the Panthers have gone from a -165 favorite on the road in Ottawa, to now taking back a big tag in Boston. Florida goes from being overvalued to under-valued overnight and because of a couple of unfortunate losses. The Panthers still have a shot to make the playoffs, as they sit three points back of New Jersey with a game in hand for the final Wild Card spot. Nobody's stock has fluctuated more on a game to game basis quite like these Panthers but one thing we know for sure is that they will leave nothing on the table here, as they push all in to get in. This is absolutely a live pooch.
