8:00 PM EST. OT included. The Wild have lost three of four but managed to pick up points in their last two defeats both in extra time to Boston and Nashville respectively. The market isn't punishing the Wild for losing to a pair of highly regarded teams, as they are getting the lion's share of the action today. The perception is that Minnesota is unbeatable at home, but it has lost three straight at Xcel Energy Center. We're not sure what all of the fuss is about, as this team is led by Eric Staal, who was left on the scrap heap not that long ago. Staal leads the team with 40 goals, but the next closest player is Jason Zucker with 30, behind him is Mikael Granlund with 19. The Wild feasted on close and low scoring games earlier in the season, but now those tight tilts are going against them, as the bounces usually even out over time. The reality is this team is offensively challenged and has posted just two tallies in the last two games and may be gripping their sticks a little bit tighter here.

Dallas isn't mathematically eliminated from playoff contention but posting just one win over its last nine games has undoubtedly lowered its odds and its stock in the market. While its chances to win out are unlikely, Big D does have the fortune of playing one of the teams in front of it with this home-and-home series with the Wild. A visit to Minnesota might be just what the doctor ordered for the ailing Stars, as top forward Tyler Seguin has been a beast with 22 points in 17 games against Minny. Even if their chances of postseason play are slim, the Stars have an excellent shot to make life very miserable for the Wild, who have yet to clinch but sit third in the Central with both St. Louis and Colorado nipping at their heels. The role of spoiler is often one relished, and with the NHL being such a tight-knit community, bragging rights on the golf course can make a long summer more bearable. Back on the ice, the Stars are first in the NHL in face-offs won, and fourth in shots allowed. However, it's between the pipes where this team has struggled, but it's not like Patty Roy is staring down Kari Lehtonen from the other end of the rink. Trust us when we tell you that Dallas is the superior team with superior analytics everywhere but in goal. Taking back a price like this with the much more talented team is a no-brainer.
