8:20 PM EST. Fickle, fickle, fickle. When one loses outright as double-digit chalk, one does not gain much favor in this market. Enter Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady is 44-years-old—a dinosaur—a relic—should be put out to pasture! Those six Super Bowls? Forget ‘em. Let’s talk about the two straight losses and the potential third—a career first for Tommy Boy! That’s what really matters here, no?

If you listened to Brady’s Sirius XM radio show last week, you may have noticed the dude was a little pissed off. He was still friendly—his smile shone brightly through the microphone, but if you were paying attention—dude was there to kick ass and chew bubble gum—you know the rest. While Brady didn’t single anyone out specifically, dude had a laundry list of issues that both he, his teammates, and his coaches needed to work on. While Brady said he wouldn’t get into specifics, it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what he was talking about when he said the Bucs need to do a better job of “executing” and “scheming.” That’s QB speak for, “these motherfuckers aren’t where they ought to be and those motherfuckers don’t know what play to call”. In a win-first league, a pair of losses will tarnish anyone’s shine, even the Super Bowl champs and their first-ballot Hall of Fame pivot.

So what about the Giants? We have a very important question to ask. Do you know WHY the G-Men didn’t lose in Week 10? Take a minute—no worries—we have time. Beuller, Beuller, Beuller—THEY DIDN’T FUCKING PLAY! Prior to that, the Giants disposed of the Raiders (the week after the Henry Ruggs crash), hung around with the Chiefs (20-17) on Monday Night Football—a game they should have won, and smashed the Panthers 25-3. Dare we say that the Giants’ stock is on the rise? Depending on who you listen to, this team is “in it”—to that we say—sure, Jan. Up until this modest run, the Giants were primed to get waffled week in and week out. 

Situationally speaking, a Monday Night Football tilt on the home field of the champs should be a game that the visiting players and coaches should not have much problem getting jacked up for, however, that is easier said than done. Everyone knows the spread, the Giants are behind the 8-ball here—no doubt, but next week they play the Eagles, who they trail in the NFC East by two games. It’s a long way to the top, but if the G-Men are going to make some hay, it’s going to be done in the East—not in the “other” Bay Area.

The Bucs have been favored by double-digits in games against Atlanta (Week 2), Miami (Week 5), and Bears (Week 7) before playing the Football Team and won those games by a combined score of 131 to 45—easily covering all three. We’ve seen some inflated numbers this season in games that involve the Bradys, but this does not appear to be one of them. What would this line have been a month ago? 17½? 20? The table is set here for a rocking chair classic—where the Buccaneers can name their score.
