What that means for Buffalo is this—after the Patriots shutout of the Falcons on Thursday Night Football, the Bills have been dethroned as the class of the AFC East. Didn’t you get the memo? It wasn’t a long stay at the top for Josh Allen and company—Allen is just a running quarterback now—not sure if you were up to speed on that one—quite the fall from grace. Perception is everything—an old cliché, but one of the best. We have championed these Colts for much of the year and they are a team that one might have thought we’d ride hard here as a significant road pooch, however, we cannot. Never much for Xs and Os, we’ll sprinkle a little in here—the strength of the Colts offense is in the running game. As Jonathan Taylor goes—so too does the Blue Horseshoe. With Derrick Henry on the sidelines, Taylor is fixed to become the NFL’s leading rushing, unfortunately, this Sunday, he must face one of the best run-stopping units in the league (Bills are 3rd in rushing yards allowed—83.9—but have only given up 72.3 over their last three outings). Not ideal. We’ll leave you with one more cliché—taboo sure, but what the hell do we care? If it seems too good to be true it probably is—that’s our take on what appears to be a pretty generous pile of points on a pretty damn good Indy team. It’s suspicious as hell and we’re not biting.
