CLEVELAND -10½ -110 over Miami

1:00 PM EST. Lots of moving parts here. First, the dysfunctional Browns had another bad look last week when DE Myles Garrett tried to murder Mason Rudolph with his helmet. That didn’t go well on social media and it adds to the Browns unappealing résumé this year. This week, Cleveland will be without Garrett and without DT Larry Ogunjobi. Cleveland will not be better defensively with that pair out. There is an overreaction to that but we’re suggesting it’s not going to matter.

If Denver was +10½ in Minnesota last week, Miami should be getting 20 every time they play on the road. Same goes with Arizona getting +9½ in San Fran last week. There are other examples too. Why all of a sudden are the Fish taking back a “normal” price? Do you not remember this is the same team that was getting +17 at home against Buffalo, 14 at Pittsburgh, 22 at Dallas, 15 at home vs the Chargers and 18 at home v New England? The Dolphins lost by 17 last week to Buffalo. Miami somehow beat the Colts two weeks ago because the Colts didn’t show up and now they’re competitive? When Ryan Fitzpatrick is your QB, you have no QB at all. What you have is a crisis. If Miami isn’t getting 20 points or more on the road, they’re fade material and they’ll remain fade material so long as the rotting mackerel head infecting the whole enterprise (Stephen Ross) remains fixed in place.

Cleveland is a bunch of individuals that cannot wait to pad their stats. There is no chance of the Brownies taking this game off with such a great opportunity to rack up yards and points. Miami’s defense made Josh Allen look like Joe Montana. They made Philip Rivers look like he was 23 again. The Fish lost to Washington and they were out-gained by Baltimore by almost 500 yards. This price should be 22 not 11 and we’d still be spotting it. The Dolphins have needed to tank for years and they can’t even do that right. Stay far away from the Dolphins, as they are as bad as they looked when they were losing by 30 points every week.
