Cincinnati +13 -107 over OAKLAND

4:25 PM EST. The Raiders have won two straight after winning a high profile game on Thursday Night Football against the hated Chargers. The Raiders are one of the most popular teams in the market and so it doesn't take long for "The Nation" to get the bandwagon rolling. At 5-4, Oakland is in the thick of things for a Wild Card spot, but is it really ready to be spotting this type of lumber, even if it is against the lowly Bengals? In the last decade and a half, the Raiders have been favored by double digits just twice going 1-1 against the spread in those contests.

For some perspective of how overvalued Oakland may be in this spot, we only have to look back to the Bengals' two games against the Ravens, who are the hottest team in the market. Cincinnati was a dog in this range in both of those games including their Week 6 trip to Baltimore, which was a game they covered by the way. Last week, the Bengals were down two touchdowns before you could even get your popcorn and they proceeded to get waxed 49-13. That lopsided result has the "Bungles" looking like an easy target here.

From time to time, we'll toss barbs at the scumbag pick sellers that need your $50 for a "guaranteed" winner and we've found another fantastic pile of bullshit to sift through here. Up this week is our friend Will Rogers, who couldn't wait to post his free pick of the week in the wake of the winless Bengals from Baltimore. He, of course, is on the Raiders:

"They're (Bengals) now the front runners to get the top spot in the draft for next season. Why put up a fight now when you can get that No. 1 pick? The Raiders, on the other hand, are coming off a monumental 26-24 win over the Chargers last week. Oakland has everything to play for moving forward."

If it were that easy, we'd all be rich. While one cannot truly get in anothers headspace, we're pretty sure most of the 53 players on this 0-9 Bengals side couldn't give a hot shit what this team is going to do in April's draft let alone put their bodies on the line to just go through the motions until the next savior comes around. Were the Dolphins “tanking” too? How is that going? That's not the only flaw in this logic. If the team that has "something" to play for was the only one that showed up every week, we all, again, would be rich. Misery loves company and in a bubble, the Bengals are going to have an opportunity to play spoiler down the stretch. Sure, Cincinnati may lose by double digits, but doing severe damage to Oakland's Wild Card hopes and getting its first win should be more than enough motivation to guarantee maximum effort.
