8:20 PM EST. The 9-1 Chiefs have won their last four games and are 4-1 on the road. The 9-1 Rams are 5-0 at home. This could very well be a preview of the Super Bowl or at least who will be playing a home game or two in January, but there’s no doubt that it’ll be one of the most watched games in NFL history during the regular season.

This Monday night game was slated to be played in Mexico City, but Azteca Stadium could not handle a mass of Shakira fans which apparently involved gophers, backhoes and strip mining. So back to Los Angeles now where the Rams actually get their eight home games. Look, we know that K.C. has appeal taking back points but let’s leave that out for a sec and pay attention to the number. The Rams were a 2½-point choice when the game was scheduled at a neutral site and now they are just one-point more at home? That makes no sense when home field is automatically awarded three points.

There could be a good reason as to why the Rams are being disrespected here and that has been their inability to cover a number of any kind, large or small, home or away for about two months. L.A.'s NFC side has cashed exactly one ticket since the end of September and that was in a 39-10 Week 7 drubbing of the 49ers led by CJ Beathard. Talk of the Rams apparent vulnerability as a "beatable" favorite has gained steam with the talking heads as well, as their pass defense has not been up to par so far here in 2018. The high profile offseason acquisition of former Chief Marcus Peters has not yet worked out the way either side planned, but we're willing to cut the cornerback some slack if head coach Sean McVay is, " I think that the numbers can tell an entirely different story than what the reality is, because the reality is we've put him in a lot of difficult spots where he's one-on-one with the opposing team's best receiver." McVay did not change the practice regiment of the Rams this week, as the team was scheduled to practice in the high altitude of Colorado Springs before heading to Mexico. The change of locations did not affect Kansas City, as they planned to practice at home. A further breakdown of the Xs and Os isn't necessary, as this line tells us exactly how to play this game. The Rams are undervalued and on their home turf, oh and by the way, they are still a legit Super Bowl threat. L.A. is a complete team on both sides of the ball, which is more than we can say for the Chiefs. We love that the oddsmakers have hung a “hook” on such a key number too (Rams were -3½ all week until today) but we’re not going to get “hooked”. Swallow the points.
