1:00 PM EST. The Saints are paying out like a broken slot machine after a huge win and cover over the then-undefeated Rams last Sunday. That feature game in the 4:25 timeslot lived up to all the hype, as New Orleans and L.A. combined to put up 90 points. In this day and age, 90 points scored is a great game while a 10-7 score for instance, would be classified as pure garbage. The Saints have seen their Super Bowl odds drop to just 5-1 after ripping off seven straight wins, which includes six successful covers making them one of the most trusted teams in the market. With its stock soaring, we're looking for reasons to fade the Saints and there are undoubtedly many. First of all, New Orleans was very fortunate to win games at both Baltimore and Minnesota, as the Vikings outgained them by 153 yards. Against the Ravens, the Saints needed a 17-point fourth quarter, but even that was not enough, as that game was decided on a missed PAT by Jason Tucker, who had never missed an extra point in his career before that moment.

The Saints added to their already high profile offense by signing former Cowboy and career malcontent Dez Bryant to help bolster their receiving core. Dez was practicing with the Saints on Thursday, but Sean Payton has not yet said if he'll play on Sunday. Regardless, we have to wonder why New Orleans would bring in a me-first player like Bryant when they appear to be firing on all cylinders. If Bryant can keep his mouth shut and catch the ball, we might look back on his signing as the move that put the Saints over the top on another Super Bowl run, but we're willing to bet that there's a much better chance that Dez derails the whole train. There is a reason the Cowboys cut him and he sat on the sidelines for so long when so many teams are desperate for legit playmakers. It's also going to take time for Bryant to learn the offense and catch up to the full game speed his new teammates are playing at. Also not to be ignored here will be the fact that Drew Brees is just two touchdowns shy of tying Brett Favre for second place on the all-time TD list so he and the Saints are at face of the NFL right now and all you have to do si spot a lousy 5½ points against the dregs from Cincinnati?

The Bengals are one of those squads that could have potentially used a talent such as Bryant, as number one wideout A.J. Green is hurt and will not play on Sunday, but don't let his absence sway you here, as oddsmakers were well aware of Green's status when they posted this line. The Bengals are coming off a bye and the last time we saw them, they were barely hanging on after being forced to kick a last-second field goal in a 37-34 win over the Buccaneers after blowing a 27-9 half-time lead. The Bengals already had little market appeal and now without Green, they look like easy pickings, as the action has been all New Orleans, as this line has moved in its direction and it's not likely to stop before kickoff Sunday morning. If you like the Bengals, wait to pull the trigger, as there will be a better number coming but this one looks way too easy for a betting public that has been getting fat over the last three weeks. That bubble is likely set to burst.
