1:00 PM EST. Betting the Browns is like banging your head against a wall. We get it, the Earth Tones have been drug through the mud over the years and although many expected significant improvement here in 2018, they're still stuck in the starting blocks. Cleveland has changed quarterbacks, traded its number one running back and wide receiver and fired its coach and offensive coordinator all before Thanksgiving. At 2-6-1, the Brownies are in the midst of a four-game losing streak and while we hate to sound like a broken record, they deserve so much better. There is no need to pour over how they’ve been wronged, but just know that the Browns could just as easily be in contention for a playoff spot, as opposed to their current lot in life hovering around the number one pick.

Last week against the high flying Chiefs the Browns suffered a number of injuries especially on the defensive end, as both linebacker Christian Kirksey and cornerback E.J. Gaines were sent to the M*A*S*H unit to joint safety Damarious Randall, linebacker Joe Schobert and starting corner Terrance Mitchell, who will miss his sixth straight game. The Brownies didn’t look out of place last week despite not covering. We never highlight injuries as a reason for us to back or not back a team, as they are factored into the line, but the narrative this week is that the Brownies are battered and bruised. That means they are undervalued again and we must attack. With another high profile offense coming to the Dawg Pound on Sunday, these pooches might look ripe for the pickings, but winning and covering are two different things. Cleveland is still very much a defense-first team, but they also have the young studs to get it done on the other side of the ball. Meanwhile, the Falcons can’t stop anybody.

You are going to read this week that the porous Atlanta defense is going to be getting a boost from the signing of free agent defensive end Bruce Allen, but do not let the addition of one chess piece influence your wagering here. To give you an idea of how week the Falcons pass rush has been, Irvin was released by the Raiders and will start on Sunday  Atlanta has only 17 sacks this season, which is good news for the revamped Cleveland offense.

The Falcons are getting a ton of press after they disposed of the Redskins on Sunday, as many pundits are ready to send three playoff teams from the NFC’s South Division, but we are in the “buy low, sell high” business and this game has all the fixings so we're going to go back to the well one more time and take our chances that this will be the week the Browns are rewarded for their effort.
