1:00 PM EST. The Panthers were so lucky to win last week's game against the Giants. Carolina got every break and bounce and still needed a 63-yard Graham Gano field goal as time expired just to win it. The Panthers were outgained by the G-Men, but won the all-important turnover battle, which is the deciding factor in most games. It was the third straight game that Carolina was outgained, as the Bengals and Falcons also outplayed the Panthers. Even in its Week 1 win over Dallas, Carolina did not look good and considering how poor Dallas has played in its games since, that W doesn't carry much weight. Furthermore, if you watched the Giants offense last night, you would be hard-pressed to trust them to put up 31 points on a college defense, let alone an NFL one. However, this play has more to do with backing the Redskins than fading the Panthers.

When a team burns the market on National TV, said team will suffer the consequences of the market turning on them completely. Enter the Washington Redskins, who are coming off 43-19 Monday night loss in New Orleans, where they were nothing more than a set piece on Drew Brees' big night. Money poured in on the 'Skins all day and while that final score does look really bad, the Saints first three touchdown drives were penalty aided and after that, the train came off the tracks. The fans were into it, the commentators ate it up and the officials even got into too, as everyone made sure that Brees broke the all-time passing yards record in front of the largest audience possible. Redskins quarterback Alex Smith was left holding the bag after a less than stellar performance, but he can't do it all by himself. Monday night wasn't about the Redskins anyway, so let's just set that one game aside for a second and look at the rest of their body of work. As a Week 1 road pooch, the 'Skins knocked off the Cardinals 24-6, dominating Arizona by over 200 total yards. Washington was a popular pick in Week 2 as a home favorite over Colts but lost that game 21-9 despite out-gaining the Colts and owning the time of possession by nearly seven minutes. The difference in that game was the Colts ability to convert on 3-of-3 red zone trips, while the Redskins did not score a major. With their stock low, Washington played its best game of the season in a win over the Packers, which had them trending upwards heading into their bye, but that time off proved to be detrimental, as the 'Skins were destined to lose on Drew Brees night in New Orleans on MNF. Washington torched its backer's tickets before halftime. With that poor result, the zig-zag phenomenon comes into play here, which means those that were with Washington on Monday night will now switch gears and be looking to bet against them here at home to the Panthers based on that one performance that poisoned the mind of a fuckle market. That's the wrong move and that’s where we step in. You may also hear or read all about how banged up the Redskins are but that’s just more foolish fodder, as the linesmakers know exactly who is out and who is in and it’s figured into the line. The Redskins stock is again low and now we get them for pennies on the dollar. That’s value.
