1:00 PM EST. Finally, after all these years, the Browns are starting to get some respect and some market credibility. The market attacked the Browns last week with money pouring in on the then red-hot Ravens all week and we all know what happened from that point on but like a lot of the time, the market’s timing to fade a team was off by a week. You see, the Browns have not been in a game decided by more than four points and already have an astounding three overtime games and they’re coming off 2 OT games in a row. In other words, Cleveland has played five emotionally charged games in a row. Intensity cannot be kept that high for an extended period of time over 16 weeks from a team like the Browns. Last week's win with time running out in OT ended in a big celebration. Look at the points scored by Cleveland --21 against Pitt in 5 quarters - not 4, 18 against the Saints, 21 against the Jets and 12 against Balt in five quarters, not four and now after five intense games and a big win, they’re going to keep pace with the motivated Chargers? We don’t think so.

Aside from so many other things we could write about the Bolts, we really only need to point out one. The Chargers owner, Alex Spanos died on Tuesday morning, so the Bolts will show up, play their hearts out and dedicate this game to Spanos and his family. Other than being one of the elite teams in the league that statistically crushed the Kansas City Chiefs and that is a Super Bowl contender this year that nobody talks about, the Chargers motivation, or lack thereof, sloppiness or whatever else you want to call it that has prevented them from winning more games than they should over the years has this market reluctant to get behind them. You know, burn me once shame on you…...Well, more people have been burnt by the Chargers over the years than almost any other team and reputations are hard to shake. However, this edition of the Chargers, from November of last year to the present, has been as good as any team in football but is not priced as such. We took advantage of that last week and we’ll do the same this week only this week, the Chargers figure to be even better as a salute to its late owner.
