8:00 PM EST. The Packers are a premier franchise in this league and you are going to pay a premium to back them no matter what time of year it is. However, there has been a ton of change on Lombardi Avenue and most of it seems to have pissed off franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Firstly, former quarterback coach Alex Van Pelt was fired without consulting #12 and while that might seem like an unnecessary move in the cutthroat world of the NFL, all-time star quarterbacks like Rodgers don’t grow on trees and there is a fine line between being a loveable small town team and complete irrelevancy. That is to say; you don’t tug on Superman’s cape if you don’t have to. That wasn’t the only move that had Rodgers steaming, as the Packers also sent his favorite target, Jordy Nelson packing leaving Rodgers surrounded with rookie receivers that are well below his standards. Rodgers was also running the scout team at practice yesterday, which strongly suggests he will not suit up for this one.

The Mike Vrabel era in Music City starts tonight and the former Patriots’ linebacker has been tasked with taking the promising Titans to the next level. Vrabel has handed the offense over to Matt LaFleur, who helped to turn around the Rams as offensive coordinator in Los Angeles in 2017. He was also the quarterback coach with the Falcons when they made their run to the Super Bowl. A new coaching staff is usually going to want to make their mark and with this being Vrabel’s first head coaching opportunity, he’s no doubt going to be motivated to get a win here in Week 1.
