North Texas +11 over LOUISIANA TECH

Perhaps we can catch Louisiana Tech flat after they suffered a gut punch loss on a Hail Mary against SMU just a week ago. LA Tech cashed for their backers, but that won’t mean much in the locker room. One cannot take the human element out of anything, and so we look to the reeling Bulldogs, who started the year by blowing a 20 point lead at Mississippi State. The market may forgive a collapse like that, arguing this team could be 3-0, but we see it the other way. With a slim 45-42 win over Southeastern Louisiana as a double-digit favorite sandwiched in between those heartbreaking losses from our vantage points, LA Tech looks totally fucked up.

The Mean Green have no market appeal, and a 23 point loss to “like” opponent SMU won’t shine them up. Nor will a 40-6 frog stomping at the hand of UAB last Saturday. However, those results have North Texas’s stock on a downward trend. Need proof? Mean Green was priced in this range against UAB just a week ago. Now they are taking back inflated points against one of the weakest defenses in the country (LA Tech is 129th overall in total yards, 122nd in points against). We’re in.
